The full-grain leather used in this belt makes it a lot stronger and longer lasting than most belts out there. Full-grain leather is the highest quality and strength of all leather types. The belt also has a heavy duty roller buckle that can be replaced with your own belt buckle. 8 holes for custom fit.

Full-grain leather refers to hides that have not been sanded, buffed, or snuffed (as opposed to top-grain or corrected leather) to remove imperfections (or natural marks) on the surface of the hide. The grain remains allowing the fiber strength and durability. The grain also has breathability, resulting in less moisture from prolonged contact. Rather than wearing out, it will develop a patina over time. High quality leather furniture and footwear are often made from full-grain leather.
SIZING
Order 2-4 inches up from your pant waist size. For example, if you have a 34 pant waist size, a size 36 or 38 belt will work. A size 36 belt would likely get you to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd hole, depending on if your 34 pants fit loose or tight. A size 38 belt would likely get you to the 3rd, 4th or 5th hole. Keep in mind that belts will stretch over time.

Beautifully made and crafted belt. I also appreciate the seven holes for the belt prong. Don’t let the price scare you: Because it is so beautifully made, and made of thick, sturdy leather, it could easily last you a lifetime.
Regarding sizing, follow the H. N. Williams recommendation to buy a belt 2-4 inches larger than the size on the belt you now use. So, while I normally wear a 32-inch belt, I added 2″ to the size and I bought a size 34 for this belt from H.N. Williams. It fit just right.
(The reason to buy what a larger size than we normally wear is that almost all men’s belts sold today use “vanity sizing”, meaning that a 32″ belt normally fits a 34-36″ waist. Because the Amish don’t practice vanity, and because they also value truth, these Amish belts fit the actual waist size, not a “vanity” size.)
The belt that I received was just what I wanted. I am very happy with it. A perfect work belt that is high quality. Also, I received a nice Thank you from Toni. That made my day. Will be doing more shopping with H.N. Williams Store in the future.
