Angora Goat: Don’t be deceived by the appearance of the Angora Goat. With its silky coat and small snout, it looks really cute. But this is one stubborn goat if it doesn’t get exactly what it wants. Temperamentally, it sticks its short legs firmly into the ground, ready to take flight at any moment. But most of the time, it can be quite agreeable and gets along well with the other goats. If it does gets annoyed with another Billy goat, it will lower its head and just go for him. Best run for cover; otherwise, you might get to know the wrong end of those long, curved horns! Dimensions: 3.5 x 1.9 x 2.7 inch
Black Forest Foal: Explore the farm with this Black Forest Foal, a fun, educational toy figurine from Schleich! This toy is detailed and handheld, and is ideal for hours of imaginative play. The Black Forest Foal is part of Farm World – a fresh play world built around realistic animals and playsets depicting life on the farm. Dimensions: 3.2 x 3.2 x 3 inch
Braunvieh Cow: Braunvieh cows are a domestic cattle breed that originated in Switzerland. They have been reared in the Alpine region for many centuries. Braunvieh cattle normally have single-coloured brown or grey coats, beautifully intermingled with different shades, and a black muzzle ringed with lighter fur. Although they are very muscular, their appearance is refined and graceful. Dimensions: 5.7 x 1.6 x 3.3 inch
Clydesdale Foal: Clydesdales grow more slowly than other horse breeds. The foals aren’t fully grown until the age of seven or eight, instead of four or five. They then weigh over 1,000 kg – as much as a small car. They are so strong that they can pull objects that are much heavier than themselves. This also means they need a lot of food and water. Every day, they need 20-25 kg of grain with minerals and vitamins, and around 50-60 kg hay. Needless to say, this makes them thirsty – very thirsty, in fact. Clydesdales drink over 100 litres of water per day. Dimensions: 3.4 x 1.3 x 3.1 inch
Clydesdale Mare: Shoeing a Clydesdale can be very hard work for a farrier. Their horseshoes are not just extremely large, but also weigh over 2.5 kg. This means they weigh four to five times as much as the shoes of warmbloods or thoroughbreds. Although Clydesdales tend to be stocky and extremely heavy, they can move very elegantly. They are famous for their gait: they lift their beautiful white legs very high and with great force. For this reason, they aren’t just used as draught horses, but also for shows and street parades. Dimensions: 6.3 x 1.9 x 4.7 inch
Donkey: The domestic donkey comes originally from the African donkey. It copes well with hot temperatures and makes little demands on its food. It is often described as stubborn and stupid when he stops for seemingly no reason at all and refuses to move on. However, the opposite is the case. Donkeys cannot run as fast as horses, so it would be senseless for them to flee in panic in a dangerous situation. They first try to consider if they are actually in danger and if so, what would be the best escape route. Dimensions: 3.7 x 1.5 x 3.8 inch
Donkey Foal: The donkey has been serving mankind for thousands of years and can be used for a variety of tasks. Donkeys are very efficient mammals. They support the farmer at his work, transport loads, sire mules, keep horses company, tend sheep and are even kept as pets. In many regions they are also appreciated for their ability to live in the desert. Thanks to their robust stomachs and an ability to extract water from food, donkeys are superior to horses in that aspect. Donkeys were well-known for their use in war and their general reliability. Their numbers and popularity continue to grow. Dimensions 2.7 x 1.2 x 2.8 inch
Galloway Calf: The little Galloway Calf looks a bit lost as it stretches its black snout into the air. It can’t really be cold, because its thick curls keep it warm out in the pasture all year round. Maybe it is hungry? The little Galloway Calf probably wants to drink some milk. So where is its mother, the Galloway Cow (sold separately)? She can’t be far away. Surely she’s grazing over there, where the grass look so lush and juicy. Still a little unsteady on its feet, the little calf stumbles over to its mother. It won’t be leaving her side anytime soon! Dimensions: 3.3 x 1.0 x 2.2 inch
Galloway Cow: I wonder if the white Galloway cow knows that she is quite special, with her black ears and hooves? Her companions usually have a darker coat. But their fluffy fleece with little curls ensures they stay warm even in the coldest winter. That’s why the Galloways prefer to stand outside in the pasture all year round. In the snow, the white Galloway cow is really well camouflaged. Only her black nose and ears shine boldly out amidst the white! Dimensions: 5.5 x 1.6 x 3.5 inch
Goat: The cheeky goat is curiously observing what is happening on the other side of the fence. It’s so curious, always wanting to know every detail and is certainly not shy. Even now, it only shakes its goatee briefly before moving in for a closer look. It just loves company! And who knows, maybe it can make some new friends? You can never have enough friends, can you? Dimensions: 3.23 x 0.98 x 2.56 inch
Hen: Hens lay between 250-300 eggs per year. Although it may look that way at first, no two eggs are the same. They are of varying size and never have the same colour. They can be white, light or even dark brown. Even the small spots and speckles are always a little different. Dimensions: 1.5 x 0.9 x 1.9 inch
Highland Bull: The Highland Bull from schleich® FARM WORLD has a long, warm coat. It is so thick and wooly that even icy cold doesn’t bother him. That’s why he can stay outside all year round. The bulls are easy to distinguish from the cows – the horns of males are bent forward almost horizontally. The horns of females are significantly longer and curve upwards. Dimensions: 5.4 x 2.3 x 3.0 inch
Holstein Calf: After birth, the calves are lovingly licked dry by their mothers in their stall. After just a few days, they can join the other cows out on the pasture to frolic around and play. A few weeks later, they start eating grass and hay. However, they still can’t digest the fresh green fodder as well as adult cows. That’s why calves keep drinking their mother’s milk for six to twelve months. They are fully grown by the age of around five, and can live to an age of between 20 and 25. Dimensions: 3.0 x 1.3 x 2.0 inch
Holstein Cow: Cows show affection by licking each others’ heads, shoulders and backs. If they are separated from their friends, they often get stressed and sad. It’s not difficult for cows to tell each other apart: they have unique voices and scents. In addition, the animals can identify up to 100 faces from their herd and are highly intelligent. Not only can they solve puzzles, but they actually really enjoy them. If they work out how to open a gate with a button, they jump up and down and frolic around. Dimensions: 4.9 x 2.4 x 3.2 inch
Jersey Cow: The Jersey Cow gives the visitors at the pasture fence a friendly look with her black eyes. She comes trotting over right away because she’s very trusting. Good friends are even allowed to get close enough to stroke her yellowish coat. She loves to be patted like that. Gently she pokes at their hands with her soft muzzle: Don’t stop! She’s only 1.20 meters high and so much smaller than many other cattle breeds. Together, the herd loves to stand on the pasture, where they can always find lush new grass. Everyone enjoys these regular visits. Dimensions: 5.5 x 1.6 x 3.1 inch
Lamb: Sheep that are not older than one year are referred to as lambs. A few days after birth, their wool begins to grow. They quickly learn to find their way amongst the herd and are smarter than assumed to be. Sheep can distinguish not only the faces of their own species, but also those of humans. Dimensions: 2.0 x 0.9 x 1.8 inch
Lionhead Rabbit: The Lionhead Rabbit is especially popular with children, because it is quite small and friendly. It’s especially happy when it finds a playmate. It loves to romp around the meadow and is always ready to learn new games. Hey, what’s up? Those big, black eyes are shining with an adventurous look. Will you play with me? But it also loves a good cuddle and to have its lion’s mane stroked. So fluffy! Dimensions: 1.7 x 0.9 x 1.8 inch
Llama: The Llama from schleich® FARM WORLD has a thick, white coat. Its wool is wonderfully soft, warm, and perfect for people with allergies. Llamas are hump-less camels that originate in the South American Andes, and eat plants and grasses. They have a split upper lip and are known for spitting at rivals in order to establish ranking within their herd. Despite this, they are extremely gentle and friendly towards people. Dimensions: 2.8 x 1.2 x 3.8 inch
Lop-Eared Rabbit: Who’s the best hopper? Our Long-eared Rabbit from schleich® FARM WORLD, of course. Its strong hind legs mean that it hops over your desk faster than anyone else – despite its long floppy ears. These let the rabbit hear particularly well. Especially when his favorite songs are playing on the radio again. Then he gets a dreamy look in his eyes as he wishes that his ears could not only hear well but also help him fly. He’s vegetarian and only uses his strong rabbit teeth for carrots, grains or grass. And laces that are too long. Dimensions: 1.9 x 0.8 x 1.3 inch
Mule: The pretty mule waits good-naturedly in the yard for its turn. It likes to help its favorite people – for example when carrying heavy loads or pulling a cart. After all, it’s very strong and can work hard for long periods. That’s why it doesn’t mind the effort. I wonder what jobs it has to do today? No matter what it is, one thing is for sure: A crunchy carrot will be waiting as a treat. Delicious! Dimensions: 4.13 x 1.77 x 4.72 inch
Pig: OINK OINK! Like any pig, our Pig from schleich® FARM WORLD has a great sense of smell thanks to its powerful nose. The pink hoofed animal likes using it to sniff out food. On hot summer days, the pig’s favorite place to hang out is in a mudhole or in the cool shade of your bed. The oinking farmyard resident doesn’t mind that he’s not always spotlessly clean. Even when it accidentally leaves small marks on your T-shirt with its hooves. Why don’t you use an eraser to get rid of them. Does that work? Dimensions: 3.8 x 1.1 x 2.3 inch
Piglet: Look! A mini oink! Our cute Piglet from schleich® FARM WORLD might be small, but it’s already full of energy. His curly, pink tail always wags especially quickly as he romps around on the sofa or does a belly flop into the freshly ironed pile of clothes. Even at a young age, his classic pig nose is perfect for sniffing out all kinds of things. Like leftover cookies in your bed. Did you know that pigs love to cuddle and even sleep nose-to-nose with each other? Isn’t that cute? Dimensions: 2.3 x 0.9 x 1.3 inch
Plymouth Rock Chicken: The beautiful Plymouth Rock chicken struts its stuff around the farm. It’s on the look-out for food. Perhaps the farmer has dropped a crisp lettuce leaf? Because it’s quite tame, its favorite people occasionally give it a treat. In return, the friendly chicken loves to be stroked. Its dense, fluffy plumage is unbelievably soft. So pretty! Dimensions: 2.21 x 1.02 x 2.36 inch
Rabbit: A rabbit’s favourite foods are juicy herbs, fresh clover, salad, twigs and peelings. Rabbits are very sociable animals. When sensing danger, they thump their hind legs on the ground so as to warn their relatives. If a predator comes too close, they flee in zigzag formation. Dimensions: 1.7 x 1.0 x 1.7 inch
Ram: Boof! The Ram from schleich® FARM WORLD has two extra-large horns for ramming. He is very powerful and can protect himself from almost anyone. Annoying siblings, for example. But he only does it in an emergency. The hoofed animal doesn’t really like fighting. He prefers jumping through colorful children’s rooms and over mum’s car with his friends. His big eyes help him to see what’s behind him without turning his head. Can you do that too? Actually, you don’t need to when you have him as a friend. Dimensions: 3.5 x 1.8 x 2.8 inch
Rooster: All fowl have a crest on their head. It consists of a flap of skin and is particularly large and noticeable on cocks. The serrated comb, which looks like a blazing fire, is the best known. In addition, there are butterfly, rose and pea-shaped combs. Dimensions: 2.2 x 1.1 x 2.4 inch
Sheep: Sheep have a cuddly wool that protects them from the cold in winter. But why does wool actually stay so nice and warm? It is a very airy material that still manages to trap body heat. At the same time, it can absorb a lot of moisture, providing a pleasant, dry warmth. Dimensions: 3.5 x 1.5 x 2.4 inch
Silkie Chicken: With its lush plumage, the Silkie chicken always makes a dazzling appearance. It has certainly earned its name: Its feathers look so soft. How nice that it is so tame and likes to be stroked. Even now it comes bouncing up in its typical chicken walk, jerking its plump head back and forth. Which do you think it prefers – cuddles or treats? Dimensions: 2.21 x 1.02 x 2.36 inch
Silver Dapple Mare: The Silver Dapple Mare from schleich® FARM WORLD actually has a dark coat, but the so-called “silver dapple” gene means that it is much lighter and looks silvery. Even the eyelashes of silver dapple horses are light, usually even white. This coloring is common in Rocky Mountain Horses, Scandinavian ponies and American horse breeds such as Morgan, American Saddlebred and Tennessee Walking Horse. Dimensions: 5.7 x 1.4 x 4.3 inch
Sorraia Mustang Stallion: The Sorraia Mustang Stallion from schleich® FARM WORLD has a narrow dorsal stripe on his back. This is a characteristic of these horses, as is the dun coat and the dark snout. The mane and tail show another characteristic of the breed: They are always bi-colored! Sorraia horses are considered the ancestors of Andalusians and Lusitanos. It is to them that these breeds owe their high-set, strong neck. Dimensions: 5.9 x 1.4 x 4.7 inch
Tennessee Walker Mare: Tennessee Walker horses have unusually long and flat hooves. They are not fitted with horseshoes and are not trimmed. This favours their typical gaits, flat walk (accelerated pace), running walk (running pace) and canter (soft gallop). Dimensions: 5.3 x 1.4 x 3.8 inch
Texas Longhorn Bull: Texas longhorns have the longest horns of any cattle. The first signs of the horns can be seen at the age of just three weeks. The horns grow sideways out of the head and twist slightly at the tips. By around the time a bull turns one, its horns will already have grown to around half their adult length. Dimensions: 5.5 x 3.3 x 3.5 inch
Tinker Foal: In the Tinker are the mighty Shire horse, the powerful Clydesdale, the majestic Friesian and the sure-footed Dales Pony. These were bred by travellers to the UK and Ireland to make for a strong and sturdy pull- and workhorse. At the same time they stayed very much on top of the horses characters. They should be absolutely gentle and reliable. To date, the Tinker is known and loved for these characteristics. It is therefore often used as a therapy horse. Dimensions: 3.7 x 1.2 x 3.5 inch
Turkey: Turkeys are part of the pheasant family and are originally from North America. The male birds have black plumage with individual metallic shimmering colourful feathers. The head and neck are featherless and coloured bright red and light blue. When male turkeys compete for females during mating season they spread their tail feathers out like a fan, as shown by the turkey from the schleich® FARM WORLD. Dimensions: 2.2 x 2.0 x 2.3 inch
Valais Blacknose Sheep: The Valais blacknose sheep is so gorgeous with its white wool and classic black face. It’s not easily upset by anything and is happy to be on its home pasture no matter what the weather is like in the Swiss mountains. It can even withstand the coldest temperatures in winter. No wonder: who could freeze with that thick fur coat on? Dimensions: 3.0 x 1.2 x 2.4 inch
