American Black Bear Dimensions: 4.65 x 4.65 x 2.17 inch. The American Black Bear wanders through the woods at a leisurely pace. Where is it going? It’s probably on the look-out for food as usual. Thanks to its stately size it’s almost always hungry. Its favorite hobby is fishing. There it is, standing right in the middle of the river, skillfully catching a salmon in its mighty paws. If it gets really lucky, it might even find some honey in a tree hollow. Thanks to its thick bristly coat, it’s almost impossible for the bees to get through to sting it.
American Wolf Dimensions: 3.5 x 1.0 x 2.4 inch. The American wolf lifts its nose into the wind and attentively pricks up its pointed ears. Did he smell something? He calls the pack together with a howl – it’s hunting time! The wolf silently stalks its prey. He is not alone. He knows his pack is close by. Side by side, they roam the wilderness together and surround their prey. They can even take on the much larger bison. Together they are strong!
Beaver Dimensions: 3.7 x 1.1 x 1.4 inch. Like most beavers, this one built his lodge out of branches he chomped on his own…but now he’s eager to find a place in your home. He’s a hard worker, well-behaved, and comes with an excellent dental plan. schleich® wild animal figurines for toddlers and kids introduce the limitless possibilities of storytelling and imaginative play. From realistic ocean and jungle animal figurines to our popular playsets, schleich® WILD LIFE lets your stories run wild. Authentic wild creature figurines toys prowl, swim, and soar with rich, accurate detail and texture, while our full-featured wild life playsets bring learning to life.
Color Changing Chameleon Dimensions: 3.9 x 1.2 x 1.8 inch. Just like a chameleon in the wild, the schleich® chameleon can change color: Greenish-turquoise for casual Fridays, reddish-brown for formal attire. Special temperature-activated paint gives the schleich® chameleon toy its unique color-changing abilities, so don’t be surprised to find it lounging in your sunroom. The chameleon is perfectly prepared for life in trees with its clawed feet and strong curly tail. So it can cling to branches with its body without being blown down by the wind. Of course it can also camouflage itself by adapting the color of its scaly skin to the tree or rock it happens to be sitting on. But sometimes it changes color when it wants to attract attention. Can your chameleon grab your attention like that?
CHANGES COLOR! Heat-activated to change colors, just like a real chameleon – no wonder this chameleon toy is often found sunning on your window ledges.
Cougar Dimensions: 4.7 x 0.9 x 2.0 inch. Cougars can’t roar, but they can purr, meow, and whine about doing chores. Cougars in the wild can leap 40 feet – that’s longer than 90 schleich® cougar figurines lined up end to end! schleich® wild animal figurines for toddlers and kids introduce the limitless possibilities of storytelling and imaginative play. Our wild animal toys love cross into new play worlds to create stories with schleich® enchanted creature toys, farm animal figurines and dinosaur toys! schleich® wild animal toys and playsets are built to last for generations. All our toys meet the highest national and international safety standards.
Elk Dimensions: 4.1 x 2.6 x 4.1 inch. The elk stands quietly at the edge of the forest and gazes into the distance. It’s rutting season – and he’s showing his best side. He strides majestically through the tall grass, ready to impress a doe. Its powerful body and antlers make it a worthy leader of its herd. I’m sure he can win a heart there.
Fox Dimensions: 3.1 x 1.2 x 2.0 inch. The most famous species of fox is the red fox, which has a characteristic red coat and white chest. Its large, bushy tail helps the small predator keep its balance when running. On cold days, it wraps its tail around its body like a blanket to keep itself warm.
Grizzly Bear Dimensions: 4.3 x 1.8 x 2.6 inch. Grizzlies are tall, strong animals – they stand up to 2.4 metres high and weigh roundabout 450 kilograms. They have sort of a hump on their back and strong hind limbs. Grizzly bears are able to run up to 55 kilometres per hour. They are loners and frequently behave aggressively. Sometimes they gather at waters to catch salmon. Since they are omnivores, these bears feed on fish, plants and large mammals like moose, deer and black bears. They are also known to steal food from wolves or humans.
Iguana Dimensions: 3.9 x 1.2 x 1.2 inch. WWUUAAAARRR! Although the Iguana from schleich® WILD LIFE is smaller than its reptile relatives, it is still a tough little lizard. Flaky skin protects it from sharp teeth and UV light. So it doesn’t need to be afraid of little enemies or sunscreen. Our little crawler also has a tail that can be almost twice as long as the rest of its body. Perfect for defense or drawing pictures in the sand. With its magnificent head, our brave Iguana not only nods in time with the beat at concerts, but also communicates with other iguanas. This can sometimes lead to dance-talk misunderstandings.
Mandrill Dimensions: 2.7 x 1.1 x 2.3 inch. What if a miniature Mandrill figurine were more than a toy? What if a monkey could turn a slowly ticking clock into the sounds of a jungle at night? What if a Mandrill could speak a secret language only a child can understand? Some monkeys are good at swinging from vines…and some, like this one, help the littlest storytellers let their imaginations run wild. schleich® wild animal figurines for toddlers and kids introduce the limitless possibilities of storytelling and imaginative play.
Meerkat Dimensions: 1.7 x 1.6 x 0.7 inch. The meerkat stands as still as a statue and keeps an eye out. Only its pointed nose twitches from time to time, scenting. Did something move in the tall grass? The other clan members are happily digging for insects while this meerkat keeps watch. Brave! When danger threatens, it emits a shrill call to warn the others. But this time everything is quiet. Slowly it also gets hungry. Time to dive into the group hustle and bustle. Maybe it will find a fat beetle?
Otter Dimensions: 3.1 x 0.9 x 1.4 inch. Any moment now, the otter will jump back into the water to hunt for fresh fish. It loves fresh fish more than anything. It’s such a good swimmer that it catches its prey effortlessly. The otter’s thick oily pelt protects it from the cold in the water – the water simply runs off. I’m pretty sure it also wants to try out your bathtub!
Raccoon Dimensions: 2.9 x 1.0 x 1.6 inch. What’s that rattling? Now a loud smacking sound. The cute raccoon has given himself away. He is once again on the prowl and has probably discovered a treat… He looks so cute that you simply can’t be mad at him. When it’s not smacking its lips, the nocturnal predator with the distinctive face mask is usually silent in the night. Its grey fur is the perfect camouflage. During the day it hides in its tree hollow. There the cheeky badger rests until his next foray.
Slow Loris Dimensions: 1.3 x 1.1 x 1.4 inch. Slow what? Very few people know the name of our Slow Loris from schleich® WILD LIFE. Hardly anyone has ever seen one. The clever primate is usually awake at night. Its big eyes help it see everything well, even in the dark. Like a real secret agent. This allows it to effortlessly balance on the highest branches at night without losing track of where it is. And when it grabs a villain, the little primate uses its poison! It’s hidden the crook of their arm. All of this makes it the best secret agent in the rainforest, don’t you agree?
Snow Leopard Dimensions: 4.1 x 2.0 x 1.7 inch. The snow leopard is a large cat that lives in the high rocky mountains of Central Asia. It feeds mainly on sheep, ibex and goats. Thick fur protects it against freezing cold temperatures but its beauty means that many animals fall prey to poachers. That’s why the snow leopard is an endangered species. A special feature is its tail which, like the snow leopard from schleich® WILD LIFE, is nearly as long as its body.
Squirrel Dimensions: 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.8 inch. Shoo! The squirrel dashes across the forest floor so quickly that you can only see it out of the corner of your eye. It jumps purposefully onto the trunk of the hazelnut tree, then higher up into the fork of the branch. Here hang the delicious nuts! It hurriedly picks a fruit from the branch and climbs down the tree to its hiding place. Here it collects nuts for the winter. The squirrel is a master of stockpiling. And it’s cute too!
Tarantula Dimensions: 3.0 x 2.4 x 0.7 inch. Tarantulas are among the largest spiders in the world. In contrast to many other spiders, they do not spin a web, but lay in wait for their prey – especially frogs, mice and birds. People don’t have to be afraid of them. Tarantulas may have a strong bite, but they are good-natured, and their venom is weaker than that of bees.
White-Tailed Buck Dimensions: 4.1 x 1.8 x 4.1 inch. White-tailed bucks are very shy animals. When they get scared, they wave their tails back and forth. If there is indeed a predator nearby, the deer stretch their tails upwards. The white fur that gives them their name becomes clearly visible. The biggest enemies of the white-tailed deer are wolves, coyotes, pumas, bears, alligators and jaguars.
White-Tailed Doe Dimensions: 3.4 x 1.4 x 3.3 inch. White-tailed does can see and hear very well, but rely mainly on their sense of smell and their speed. They are very agile and can sprint up to 48 km/h. Their grey-brown winter coat isn’t just camouflage against predators. Because the hairs are hollow, they also store body heat very efficiently.
White-Tailed Fawn Dimensions: 2.0 x 0.8 x 2.1 inch. White-tailed fawns have lots of small white spots on their fur. These serve as camouflage, since the dots make them harder to spot in high grass. When its mother is off looking for food, the white-tailed fawn hides in the tall grass. It stretches out flat on the ground, even laying its head and neck down flat.
Wolf Dimensions: 4.1 x 0.8 x 2.0 inch. It is said that wolves howl at the moon, but their sounds actually serve to communicate with each other. By howling, they want to draw the attention of the other pack members to something important, call them to hunt together, or try to drive away wolves that don’t belong to the pack. Their cries can be heard for many kilometres.
